Good point, Horse Lord would conquer this map with the terrain leadership and the high UL...

This map would work better with eight starts. It takes a long time to encounter your opponents, and if you get a strong start the game is essentially over, but takes a while for it to become apparent. It is a good map to try different force combinations, but for experienced players you end up just plundering cities and installing essentially the same units in all your cities. After a while the game just becomes a slow takeover for the strongest player.

If you make this map have 8 starts then it becomes the 8 Kingdoms map or Bullrun. The 4 starts in the 4 corners is the primary difference between it and those 2 maps.

I like the fact this map is different than 8 Kingdoms/Bullrun. It's one of the very few maps that lets you experiment with very high level units because there is endless money on this map thanks to the huge city incomes. Personally the only thing I plunder are slow units (Dwarfs/Pikes, Hv Inf etc). Otherwise there isn't much need to plunder since you can get an income of +800-2000 a turn quite easily and of course there are gobs of ruins to search if you want even more money.
