Well, he does love his stalemates. I get bored of them, honestly.

Edit: Rather, I tend to encounter stalemate situations more frequently than usual in games with Bofa. Not a fair nor accurate assumption to state that he enjoys them. I hope there was no offense from my cavalier statement, Mr Bofa.

It's my fault, but there are multiple versions of Burning Ice still in the game creation tab. No doubt confusing to most players. There are 4 in 1v1, and 3 in Ladder Maps. This version is the correct one (description "Arise from the cold ashes").

The map hasn't been very popular so far, but we'll see what happens.

That's the oldest version. If I knew how to remove versions myself, I would. Anyone help?

I discovered how to remove the defunct versions of this map. It is easy to play the correct one now, and there should be no confusion.

There are more options in this version. This should reduce the possibility of stalemate. The southern player has an early advantage, and the northern player has a late-game advantage. The towers are lightly guarded, but they are guarded, so there is a reasonable opportunity for each player to protect themselves from early rushes.

Enjoy. Given the different paths from north to south and the different venues for expansion, this should be very dynamic for a 1v1 map. Also, the K-value is high because it takes ~20+ turns to play, so you will be well rewarded for ladder games. The turns are easier/shorter than big map turns, so it's actually easier to get high points from a map like this.
