Tower 54,53 between 2 cities with dwarf looks like the central tower. Top side can attack Avalon and Memphis, and bottom side can attack only one Thyrbolt.

Good idea with heavy inf. in towers

Thanks for the feedback. I try to make game play as balanced as possible. Tower at location 48, 49 can attack three cities when coming from the bottom, and only one when coming from the top. That is exactly opposite of tower 53, 54. Tower 60, 49 when attacking from top to bottom can attack one city, and when attacking from bottom to top, three cities can be reached. The opposite tower would be tower 40, 56, and the top can attack three cities and the bottom can attack only one. The map was designed to be symmetrical if cut in half from the northeastern to southwestern corners. I put the heavies to discourage rush attacks early in the game. As for the ruins in the mountains, the bottom has land access to the one on the left, and the top has land access to the ones on the right.

One who started from top, occupied Tartiyon and searched nearby ruin in the first turn. In the second turn top occupied Thyrbolt, and in the third turn he occupied tower 54,53 and got control under bottom's expansion to the east.
That's is mostly popular version how to start this game.

My goal is to make the map so that one could use the same strategy starting in either location. At the same time allowing for there to be more than one way to win.
