Gold Triggers at the Crossroads

When making this map I had two general goads. My primary goal was to create a map that was perfectly balanced. And I also wanted to use all the tools and effects available to the map maker. Now there's a trigger at the center of each square so that the first player to move on to the trigger gets some gold. My intension was to have quests in the map like the ones in the old WarLords games. For the triggers in the starting squares, the problem is that the first four players to start get the gold and players five through eight don’t have a chance at getting the gold. This is a clear violation of my first goal. So what I’m thinking of doing in the next revision is to put a heavy unit on top of the trigger so the players have to build a good combat stack to get the gold. As far as I can tell the tutorials are the only other maps that use triggers so I’m wonder what the community thinks about using them in gaming maps.
