I really enjoy this map in it's new incarnation (played a half dozen games on it now). It's vastly better than the original especially with the new harder neutrals with the super production in them.

The only quibble I have with it now is that it's become a fliers paradise. The reason for that is the over abundance of mountains and ridges (especially in some areas of the map). This lets fliers jump from one to the other over and over again (along with water) and never have to face land armies (or even sea units for that matter). It would be great if some of them could be removed especially since many of them are just to make rivers/water look nicer.

As a result if you aren't making Eagles/Gryphons by mid game you are dead because your opponent will be and you have no way to stop their invasions. It's a real shame that the game won't allow land units to attack onto ridges for a high cost (say 6 or 8 moves).

The next time you visit this map you should disable the FFA modes for 4-8 players because the map is totally inappropriate for 5-8 players in FFA mode.

I've finally managed to get into an 8 player FFA game where there have not been any players dropping out. As I suspected the 4 middle starting spots (Blue, Red, Orange, Cyan) are being crushed by the 4 corner spots. It's because the corner spots only have 2 sides to defend against while the middle spots have 4. Even if you can manage an NAP you still have multiple opponents to deal with who are solely fighting you.

The owner of this map hasn't been active for many months.

It would be nice if the map became shareable to fix some of the issues on starting spots for team games. Random sucks making it impossible to have decent 2v2 games or even 3v3 games because team mates end up isolated or surrounded etc.
