I think Digital Clover would be a better choice than Squares. Squares is like Central Sahara in that rushing to the middle wins the game. Digital Clover is different because you start in the middle and expand away from it.

The game is going enough nice. I would take a part in a FFA tournament on this map.
Is FFA tournament possible? Don't remember any discussion on this.

On 1v1 tournament, Airstream map looks small and enough popular to start a short one-map tournament.
Also Central Sahara looks good to me.

Guys, what about short tournament on Airstream map? A popular and fast map. I would see this as single elimination for 16 players, 2 days turntime. For all the summer, not longer. I even know the name - Summer Air.
Piranha, Snotling, come on, let's launch such one. I think players will fast join.

So let us start talking about the upcoming tournaments.

"You are always so diplomatic..."
Smallish/Medium sized maps. 4 player FFA:s, with the top 2 advancing to next round. Probably should have some kind of second chance system, so that you need to fail top two twice, before being eliminated from the tournament.

This actually sounds super cool. I believe that the system currently does not recognize anyone that is not the absolute winner of an FFA game as anything but a loser. However, if this tournament could work out so that the game halted when there were two players left and declared both the winner, I'd be super excited to play it. In fact, I'd probably play it more than actual FFA it became a real game mode.

I've been given the 'keys' to start a new tourney since Piranha is busy.

Here's the options I can control:

1) Type: Group / Single Elimination / Double Elimination - Group is where players are in small brackets of 4 with only 1-2 players/teams advancing

2) Max Players (12/16/20/36/48...) + Start Date if not max players reached

3) Setup (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4) - 2v2 and beyond are team games obviously

4) Time Per Turn (1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4)

5) Aways (4, 6, 8, ... 20)

6) Map Choice(s)

That's all the game allows currently. I am happy to set up 2 tourneys if we want to get more players participating if they prefer one over another.

Nice to hear this, KGB.
Application on short tournament:
1) Single Elimination
2) Max players 16
3) 1v1 games
4) Time per turn 1.5
5) Aways 4
6) Airstream map

KGB, are these parameters enough or you need something else to open the tournament?

It's all I need. I was just waiting to see if anyone else wanted to chime in.

I'll get it setup this weekend.

Hah, you will not see something here. Forum isn't too active comparing with current games.
If to put a look on replays of this map, this will be clear how popular it is.
