Time for some new tournaments!

We could do the following tour system:

Groups of 4 - 3 rounds - separate 1 day

Each player plays vs the other 3 sequentially
Different maps are used in each round
The 3 victories go to knock out phase
If the score is 2-2-2 we have qualification games

Knock out round - new maps:
2 victories qualifies

We can create the games with pwd.
If we decide duel, it could be ladder also

Decision needed on the following:

duel or 2x2?
Which maps to use?

Suggestion:
We decide duel or 2x2
We open a thread for interest, first 16 participate.
We send msg to all active players.
Each player comes with 3 ladder map proposals.
The 3 most proposed maps are used in group phase.

Why can't we start both 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments in the same time?
May be both will be interested for a lot of players.
I agree with 4 groups of 4, total 16 players in 1v1 tourney.
In 1st round 3 games each other in the same time.
May we let to go farther for all winners and all 2nd places? If so this wil be 8 players in 2nd round that let to make 2 groups of 4, 2 best players from each group go to semifinas. And the 4th round is the fina.
To make the tournament not so long I would offer 1-2 days turn time.
Maps might be small for 1st and 2nd group rounds, middle one in semifinals and large one in the final.
As variant, may be to play 3 games in the same time for semifinals, and for the final as well.

If to start 2v2 team tournament, may be to make only 2 groups of 4 teams? May be we will not be able to find 16 teams to play in 4 groups these days.

Now 2v2 and 3v3 tournaments. What about 1v1 new one?
May be play-off system instead of group rounds, to make only one additional game for participants.
Any maps would be good. Better with low number of aways and low turn-time.
Single or double elimination.

I would definetely participate in any tour, however 3 tours in parallel are a little bit too much, because it is 5 tour games running in parallel.

You might open a thread for 1x1 to start let's say April and we could consider a 4x4 at the same period if we have 8 teams that could participate...

Hmm... 1 additional game is not too much at my look if to make it play-off... April is too far and who can know what will be there.
