Problem Joining Games

When I try to join some games, (clicking the down arrow to select the color I want)
I get this pop up message:

Status
Your team don't have enough players to join this game.


Any idea what's going on with this?

Also, how soon will I be able to play this in my phone's browser?

I can already play it now on my Android. True, the screen is a small 4 inches and requires me to zoom in to select units and move them but I have done it in a pinch when I only have a few units to move.

Were you looking for some other functionality of auto-zooming on cell phones?

Dread: If its a ladder game you need to be on a team with enough members to take the challenge. That's when you get that message.

About iOS / Android. You can load the site but its pretty hard to play since mousedrag and mouseover doesn't exist on those systems. We have looked into this a bit and I think we will start by just creating arrows when surfing on iOS / Android that allow you to move the map and add onclick to the menus since mouseover doesn't work. This will allow you to play even if its not optimal. Hopefully it will be in the release we plan for september (pretty big update using the kickstarter money).

The next step after that is to build a native app but we didn't plan that when we started so its a big job to create an entire new client for the phones / pads. Its on our todo but I think native app is in 2013.

I have a followup question for this.
So in TEAM ladder games, you can't join unless you've formed a team beforehand.
But I don't really have any friends playing this game to form a team.
So, I considered making a secondary account and teaming up with myself. Is this allowed? Do other people do this?

Well what are you waiting for? Go get some of them to sign up!

I don't think other players would like it if you made secondary accounts like that. But if you do, I suggest you name your team 'Me, Myself and I' so it's clear what you are doing

Also once the site goes to the pay model, I would assume the ladder would be one of the things only a pay account would have access to. So you'd have to pay twice to play ladder team games.

If you want to join a team, go to the team forum and say you are looking to join a team. I suspect you'll get plenty of offers to join an existing team.

I've tried to get my friends to check this game out, but they won't. Partly because they're MMO junkies, and partly because they don't like strategy war games.

As far as asking about making a secondary account, I only asked to see how it would be viewed or if others were doing it. I won't make one, because It seemed like a cheesy thing to do and I don't want to be a cheese.

I'll follow your advice and see if I can find a team in the team forum.
