The AI randomizes which herotype it buys, so its 1/6 chance for each herotype.
I guess you were (un)lucky he only bought the new ones...

The strange thing is, all 3 AI got almost only new heroes (as far as I remember), for a lot of turns. I could see them because fog of war was deactivated, and felt pretty outdated (so it's a quite nice "hidden commercial", if I might say so).
Still, probably it was simply good luck for me, since enemy stacks never got +4 L or -3 C

Maybe could be a nice idea to modify AI random picks a bit, just to avoid eccessive easiness in a fight against them. Otherwise, I'll keep seeing stacks lead by horselords traveling on hills :o

Seems that people don't know about new heroes.

I play a game with opponent who have 11 finished ladder games. I used Horse Lord and the opponent asked me, what is a Horse Lord and how can I got him. I explained.
But I think that in the same time many people don't know what new heroes are and where can they get them.

I would offer to put more advertising about new heroes. And, as promotion, let all the people to use them free for a little time, may be two weeks, to see and understand what they are, and make a reminder that period of free using is limited and if you wish to use these heroes farther you must buy and use some credits.
Or something the same, to let people know what these heroes are.

A mailer would probably suffice. It's true that probably 500 of your users never look at the forums.

When a hero emerges, why not just showing them all, but having the "Accept" Button greyed out, with another button sending you to the Premium Features Page instead? Easy, simple, non-intrusive (since once you know, you simply don't have to click on those classes any more.

Great idea Chazar. It's implemented (requires F5 reload)

The "News headlines" box in the left column of the account page is easy to miss. Maybe a box could be added above the "MY GAMES" box to show important announcements so that every user sees them?

It could be the kind with a button to open or close it. Then it could auto open if there's a new message, but be left closed if the user has already seen the latest message. The user would be able to open it again in case they want to re-read something later.

It would also be a good location to display a reminder when your premium membership only has a few days left.
The user could have the option as to whether or not they want to be shown the membership reminder so that it won't be viewed as a nag screen.

Be Well,

My practise of using Horse Lord showed that this hero indispensable on map with open place like grass and sand. This hero seems to me like old demons, a little more powerfull than necessary for good balanced unit.
May be somebody can say anything about his own practice.

No one has used him well against me yet. My worry is that other players will level an enemy horse lord in a game I am in, and then I will have to pay for their mistake.

At least he can be countered with Grand Archon.

The fact that the Great Archon will remove only 16 of the 25 leadership. Will be 9, which is quite significant. If Horse Lord's leadership was like a Valkyrie's, Great Archon would be able to remove almost everything.
I have already offered to reduce the level of leadership at the Horse Lord to +19, 5 starting plus 7 per 10 points, and maximum 19 for each area. Was decided to wait, play and watch. Now I would like to return to this suggestion, since game, I think, confirms the original assumption.
