KGB,

Yeahhhh..

Scouts peeking in ruins could be very useful (esp. if they could see the loot). So, I concede that a scouting window would be more versatile.

If a ranger hero ever shows up..I'd like to see it have scouting and scout movement bonuses.

Modern scientists have never been able to find the fabled 'yeti'. But eye-witnesses claim that they do exist. Are they a hoax? Or are they just incredibly stealthy? :geek:

Maybe the yeti could be invisible (to other players) in the snow. If it was just like a snow giant (snow movement 2, +2 in snow str 5) and had the 'hidden in snow' ability..it would become a great ambush predator.

I know this opens up a whole can of worms with hidden units and suchlike...but is does seem like fun.

KGB wrote:The Crusader would have made a great unit to get the +1 stack bonus but the Pegasi already that job. It would also make a great unit to combat evil (2 turns, 5 strength, +1 stack bonus when enemy stack contains an evil unit), but the game doesn't have a good/evil designation for units yet (Orc/wolfrider/medusa/demon/devil etc).

Now that yo say it, would it not be kind of exciting with the Crusader giving a stack bonus, depending on how your stack looks? It does not need to be very complicated, just a bonus for this and that many "good" types (not number) of units in the stack. Ex. 2 good creatures: 1 stack, 4: 1 stack, 1 defend, 6: as 4 + 4 move bonus, 2 view bonus, 8: all of above + 2 stack vs. evil units.
Would only work with a (good) hero in the stack, only in one stack at the time (?).

Maybe the ideas above are a bit unfinished, but I think the concepts really good, forcing the player to buy different productions, mix around with the battle orders (doesn't want to have a scout first and loose the 8 stack-bonus, for example), choose between a strong "evil" unit or a weaker "good" unit for the bonuses and so forth and so forth. If the bonuses gets balanced it could really improve the amount of tactics one can put into stack builds and unit production/vectoring.

Of course it should be one unit like this for the evil stacks too.

How does it sound?

Edit:

Maybe this is a little late, now that beta4 is almost here. Beta5, perhaps? :D
