When Playing AI

Just a thought, would it be possible to cut off the email notification when you are playing a solo game versus AI or is this a bad idea ?

Thoughts ?

Do you get an email sent to you even when there is no waiting-time for your turn? (i.e. you get the ITS YOUR TURN AGAIN-popup)

Are you referring to the AI game to which I get that message, just want to make sure that is what you are asking

Yes,
I mean sometimes you play the AI and you get some waiting-time (for server to process etc), in those cases I think its good to get an email sent out when the AI has completed its turn and it is your turn again.
But most of the time when you play against the AI, it should take a few seconds after you hit END TURN, and then you should get this infopoup that tells you it is your turn again - in those cases I think you should not receive an email since you already know this...

Well, the AI wouldn't mind waiting a week or two, if you forget your turn.. or did you code it with an aggressive personality :)?

What MrBofa is talking about is the EMAIl notification. That is normally a good thing when playing against a human opponent who may take several hours to get back to finishing their turn. In the meantime, he's playing against the AI, and every time he ends his turn in an AI game, he gets ANOTHER email reminding us it's his turn. Even tho, he's just waited a few seconds for the AI to finish it's turn.
He wants to (AND I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THIS TOO) have an option to have the email notification disabled for ONLY AI games, while leaving it enable for games against humans.
EXAMPLE OF THE WAY IT IS NOW:
Every turn: {x]Receive e-mail on every turn
Last minute reminder: [x] Receive e-mail 5 hours and 1 hour before your turn expires
First turn: [x] Receive e-mail on the first turn of every game
Game completed:[x] Receive e-mail when your game is completed
Info / news;[x] Receive e-mail about news and info
Account message:[x] Receive e-mail when you have a new message in your account.

ADD THIS: [x] Disable email notification for AI games.

Well... listening to all the loud complaints I took some of my valuable time (from working on the next version of the mapeditor) to put a fix for this ;-)
It should no longer send out any emails in case the turn goes around to the same player again - which it most of the time does when playing the AI.

Let me know if you still get those annoying emails :-)
