dumb command question

ok i dont understand this battle.

i have a hero with an archon inside a 1 shield level 5 castle. My hero is level 7 command 3. I had a hero, archon and giant get attacked (we won) . However, I noticed my giant was fighting as a str 6. Shouldnt he be like str 9? Shouldnt my heroes level 3 command plus the 1 shield city walls give him +3 str from hero & +1 from city walls? Is my archon negating my own hero?

game is 289 (Gate1)

Any advice anyone has would be appreciated

I've mentioned this before in the bugs forum under the 'incorrect bonus' topic.

Currently the Archon is negating ALL hero bonus's. All meaning yours too

So you should never ever have an Archon with your hero unless you need him to fly the hero someplace.

KGB - I was afraid this was happening. You are right it does appear that the archon is negating my hero as well. yikes. Ordinarily though, my str 5 giant should have been a 9 with the hero (3cmd) plus 1 shield city wall...right? There is no warpedia on hero command bonus so im going off what I think should happen.
