"The target has changed!" message is confounding--

Postby Torabi » Wed Feb 15, 2017 12:43 pm

I'm inexperienced in Warbarons, so apologize if this question/problem is stupid, but...
What is happening when I target an enemy army on the screen, but get an "error" message reading, "The target has changed! Verify if you really want to make this move" but when I click the OK button, nothing happens, so I'm unable to attack the enemies in question, whether out in the field or in a castle....
I'm playing a single player game against seven AI opponents...

Hmm--immediately after I posted that problem about "The target has changed!" I returned to the game and was able to attack the target that was giving that error message. So maybe it's just a matter of being patient while the AI does its moves? Maybe OK!

Torabi,

You are right. This message often happens during the AI turns. The way I always clear it is to exit the game to the main menu and then re-enter the game after the AI's have finished moving.

Thank you, KGB--
I'll try the exit to main menu and re-enter the game gambit in future.
Cheers--

Just hitting your browser "Reload page" should do just as well; although I rarely see it myself.

I'll try that, too, Chazar, if it happens again :-)

This does work. But only if all AI's have finished their moves. If some haven't (it can take 1-2 minutes for 7 AI's to move) then the problem remains. That's why in AI games I always exit to the main menu until they have finished moving to prevent this annoying issue.
