Beat the AI Contest - Post your best time

Lets get a little contest going on how fast you can beat the AI (Fog of War only).

I completely conquered the AI (all cities, AI was down to a hero and 1 unit caught outside a city) on turn 8 with Fog of War enabled.

After watching the AI rush its hero stack out to kill a crow I am pretty sure I can beat that score by at least 1 turn now that I know you can lure the initial AI hero out of its city leaving nothing behind or 1 army at best (Hint, hint, sending crows to capture empty AI cities early much as you would do with newbie players works wonders )

got you both beat...turn 6 suckas...secret is starting with an amazon hero. beat that.

2nd try: Turn 6. Nothing but Crows. I didn't even take an initial hero. I just captured 2 cities with the initial armies I got, plundered, made crows in those plus in my capitol, blessed them and raced for the AI cities. Takes 4 turns just to reach the capitol with crows so it's impossible to win before turn 4.

I wanted to buy a Wizard in my Capitol as that could probably win in 4-5 turns but that option is not allowed. Not sure if that's some kind of game setup or a feature of the tutorial game. So best anyone will be able to do is turn 5 if they get lucky in the first ruin with gold and manage a hero with Wizard allies.

Could you not buy wizard prod even when you had enough gold? Sound like a bug in that case.

ah for the record i was playing a 1v1 not the tutorial. i take that back!

I could see Mammoths and Pegasi in the list of units available on turn 1 even though I only had 800 gold (not enough for either). There wasn't any Dragons/Devils/Archons etc to buy either. It made me think that this was a 'no ally' option game where you can't build allies.

On turns 2/3 when I bought crows in other cities I still could not buy Wizards/Dragons/Devils etc.

How did you get there on turn 4? Just send the 2 Light Calv directly at the AI?

As long as you have over 10% chance of winning I suppose you can win any battle with enough tries.
