Warding Calculations are inaccurate

This is happening for the second time. During the game yuyuiyui, in my battle between Kaziu, my Yeti was ambushed by a +24 group Ambush spider. Which shouldn't have happened. The battle screen shows

Spider +24 Ambush
Yeti -30 Warding

Result +17 Ambush

What kind of Math is that?

And further on the line , a Ghost with +49 Ambush and Yeti -30 warding resulted in +49 one time and +34 the other time. Is this a known Bug???

Before this I encounter the same problem with Ranger. In that case She was carrying an item so I though maybe it is a rare bug. However now I can firmly state that Ambush-Warding calculations are inaccurate.

No bug: 24% ambush and 30% warding result in 17% ambush

The +/- symbols are quite misleading here. See the v0.9 news item for how Warding is computed:

Ambush * (1 - Warding)

in your case

0.24 * (1.0 - 0.3) = 0.168

So 17% is correct indeed.

Likewise 48% ambush and 30% warding lead to 34% actual ambush.

Like Chazar says, it works. Just need to think a moment to figure out the calculation. The reason one ghost had one ambush and another ghost another ambush is because they face different enemies with different warding. To see the value used you can check the info button after a battle.
