Hero in Boat to Hero Flying

I'm not sure if this is suppose to be possible, but in gameID 3882 (Fields of Bloodshed), I had a DK on a boat with other units, moved him out of the group and flew an Eagle to him. Should he be able to transfer to flight now or does he have to go to a port?

I tried hitting F5 and going in and out of the game hoping that would fix the issue, but so far no luck.

If the hero goes on a dock he is turned into boat mode. He can only become hero again by moving to land by dock. If you want to pickup the hero with a flying unit he must still be in hero form. He can travel on a flying unit or on a boat created by another land unit.
