Vectoring to Razed City?

Postby KGB » Mon Feb 13, 2012 4:04 am

Game 5834 - Desert Feedback (still my turn for another 24 hours)

Last turn I self razed a city. I assumed all my vector points to the city would be stopped. However this turn when I opened by turn I see that an army I expected to be in a city was sent to the Razed city. So I assume it's now 'lost' to me for 2 turns there and 2 more back. That sucks. Any chance the unit can be returned to me instantly?

So self razing cities doesn't seem to kill the vector points to the city.

Snotling,

Thanks. Things are desperate in that game :)

I've got a different bug but it's related to self destruction so I am using the same thread.

This time I self destroyed production in a city (a dragon mid way through). I noticed that the vector screen still said I was going to finish a dragon in 2 turns and send it. So I wonder what would have happened in 2 more turns (would an actual dragon have been sent?). In any case the bug appeared the next turn when my opponent failed to capture the city. I went and tried to click on the dragon city to open the city screen. Nothing happens. I tried the destination city. Again nothing happens (as in no city menu). All my other cities open just fine. From another city, if I click on the mini-map of the 2 vector cities that are messed up I get taken to the city view that shows the nice graphics of all the buildings but none of the menu buttons on the left are working. So I am shut out of both cities to upgrade walls, change/add production etc.

Eventually by clicking around on the all cities view screen (on the left side part way down on the main map) I was able to see production for all my cities (including the 2 I can't access). By clicking around in there somehow it eventually let me back into those 2 cities I was shut out of.

So to sum it up:

1) Vector between 2 cities
2) Destroy the production so nothing is being made (but leave the vector)
3) End turn
4) Next turn you are shut out of those 2 cities

The bug has been found and fixed for next version.
I need to know the cityname of the city with messed up data so I can fix it.

Even if I already fixed it by clicking through some menus until I got access again? Plus I suspect at least one city will fall to an opponent soon enough.
