Hero XP is not split

Snotling, Piranha,

I'm convinced that hero XP is not split. It has been bothering me for some time, so I ran a battle to check it, and indeed: hero XP is not split. According to Warpedia, heroes should get 250+75 for taking a city with a heavy infantry in it. A Paladin and Dread knight are moving together. They have taken 2 cities together and killed 2 heavy infantry and 1 minotaur. The Dread knight's xp is 749. 250+250+150+75+75 = 800. The Paladin went from 14-- to 1759 for the last battle, city + hv infantry. Certainly not a gain of (250+75)/2. What is going on here? There should be a 50/50 split, but it looks more like a 5% penalty.

You were correct, the addon xp for buildings/city was added after the split for number of heroes.
I have updated the code, and did some logging:
xp: 75
xp after building/city addon: 175
xp after numberofhero effect (nr of heroes: 2): 87.5

xp: 525
xp after building/city addon: 525
xp after numberofhero effect (nr of heroes: 2): 262.5

xp: 75
xp after building/city addon: 325
xp after numberofhero effect (nr of heroes: 2): 162.5

xp: 600
xp after building/city addon: 850
xp after numberofhero effect (nr of heroes: 1): 850

So looks correct now. Thanks for reporting!

Its a lot of battles going on, didnt take many seconds to get some decent log-information :)

No problem! I have run into another one this morning, much more minor and I don't think it deserves its own thread. In game 23776, there is a persistent bug with the Assassin standing beside the ruins on the left of the map. When I bring up the hero screen for him, all of the information runs of the bottom of the screen. Sorry, but I can't give you a name (it's offscreen!). If you just hit inspect heroes and move to his screen, you'll see what I mean. Going to hold turns there until I hear from you.

It was actually the name that was the problem, since you didnt have any spaces in it it pushed the graphics away.
I have updated the Heroname to a much better name :-)

Great catch! Now we know why double Assassin stacks were leveling so fast.

This fix alone should reign in the multi-Assassin stack power.

I'm sure it will help, but the principle problem of stacking main abilities for like heroes is still in place. I want to be sure we don't drop that issue, so that it is fixed in the next Beta and our individual Assassins and ambushers can have their full power restored :D

The Great Snotling had one move too few to make the crossing, so he was left to die on the rocks :(

I rescued him! He was able to move on his own back to the arms of his loving compatriots. Luckily you don't need fliers to move off of rocks.

Correct. Or off shore line back to land.

This is the reason I believe units should be able to ATTACK into such squares (ridges, shorelines, mountains) if there are fliers there since you can move back afterwards. This would do wonders to prevent flier abuse.

We are planning to increase flier movecost to minimum 2 in next version. Hopefully this should help out.
