Constant "Lost Connection"

Postby Feanor » Sun Mar 24, 2013 2:04 pm

Game: Dustbull

It's my turn, but no matter what I try to move I get a "Lost Connection" message every time. I've tried on multiple browsers on multiple different machines. Moves in other games have worked fine. "Dustbull" has been failing for over 24 hours now.

Issue fixed in your game.
It seems to be a bug with occupying lookouttowers in a non-fow game, so dont do this for the next few days until I can fix the bug :-)
Your game should be working now.

Thanks for reporting!

Hmm, I still see this. I just started a new game on a map I am making, to test it. The map was finalized yesterday, and the game started then. Every time I conquer a lookout tower or a watch tower (or whatever those smaller towers are called) I get the popup saying the strength of the tower or how far I can see from the lookout tower. I click ok, the map turns bright again, but a few seconds after that, without me doing anything, the progress bar pops up, and then the new dialog "Waiting for server response". It will never manage for the server to respond, and I have to press OK to reload. Interesting might also be that when I press OK to reload, it does reload a bit (I can see network traffic) but it never manages to get all the way, so when it is done all I get is a grey page. To get back to the game I have to go back to the warbarons start page and click the play sign (the My account - My games page).

The game I am testing in is 39308, but I see it in every game I start (at least on this map, not sure if it is map related though). It is just a test game, so anything you need to do with it to test is fine :). Thanks!

Aha, i will test this
I guess you dont do any other special action before? Was this neutral towers or owned by some enemy?
I might test a bit in your game...
Thanks for reporting.

No special action, neutral towers that are empty before I take them (one close to starting position, so I usually take it with my hero in the first turn). I see the issue even with income buildings now, I tried clearing my cache, restarting my browser, even starting a new game (game id 39335) with a new version of the map. Feel free to test as much as you like in that game. Thanks again for the quick response!

I have found and fixed one bug. Please try a bit more and see if you still have this issue?
