Can't Empty Map Slots

My map slots report as full (5/5).

However when I go to start a new game and look in my map slots I only have 1 map.

This bug happens when you slot a map and then the author submits a new version. The old version is now an orphan and remains in your slots but can't be accessed. Even from the 'view maps' menu it's no longer available so you can't remove it there (that's how I normally can remove it).

Is there any way we can clear out our slots or can something be added to allow us to manually clear them.
