Hero arrived with "Allies"

Postby LPhillips » Tue Apr 05, 2011 4:39 am

I have a screenshot if it's necessary, but I'm a bit lazy, so let me know.

I had a hero arrive for the cost of exactly 1500 gold, with "Allies". I didn't hire, because I've got a fair chance of winning that game and I don't want to spend the majority of my gold on what may be a Medusa just for the sake of curiosity. Is this supposed to ever happen? Random event?

Sounds strange.
Do you mean your Hero didnt specify his/her allies?
Is it still your turn? If so please let me know the gameid and dont press end turn :-)

If it isnt your turn anymore, screenshot would be nice.

Thanks!

speaking of which. Why isn't it always hidden so you have to take a gamble when accepting heroes with allies?

Because players asked for the allies to be shown during Beta2. That's is how it worked in DLR.

It sucks getting a hero and crappy allies while your opponent lucks into Dragons. Plus if a hero did show up for hire, why would he refuse to tell you what kind of allies he had and besides, you could easily see his dragon parked outside when he stopped by your castle to offer his services :)

I found a picture hosting site that lets me be lazy and not register! Woot. I had to edit it to hide sensitive game-related information. Here it is:

Nah, it's not my turn. I'm sorry; I should have reported it immediately and posted the image. It seemed so simple, however, that I assumed it would be a known bug. Game ID is 1675.

Thanks for the screen, it looks really strange. Would have been interesting to see what happened if you accepted :-)
We have looked through our code and also the logfiles, but can´t find the bug.
Unfortunately it seems we would need the game to still be in your turn, with the hero-offer still active to be able to capture the issue. :-(
So if you see this same bug again, please let us know, and dont accept the offer or end your turn :-)

I've had this before and posted it on here...never accept this offer b/c no allies will accompany the hero!

It's happen to me at least 2 or 3 times and is very annoying!
