I checked 'disable tips' and 'ask before ending turn', but I still receive tips and I don't get the confirmation window when I press 'end turn'. Neither I can lower the battle speed. It seems that page doesn't remember the settings I choose. Actually they're all checked in the settings page, but they don't work.

Ask before ending turn should now be working.
I think if you uncheck the Tips-checkbox, you will get rid of them. I think the text is supposed to read "Show help tips". I´ll ask piranha to take a look when he is back from vacation.
