SnotlinG,

Coming back to this one for something that may be related.

I've played a couple of games lately on Bullrun. I have items placed in 4 cities and the cities set to be detailed (L7 walls, 80 gold). However I've noticed in both games than when I scout those 4 cities that sometimes the items aren't there and the walls aren't L7. The detailed production, defenders and gold income is correct but the city walls aren't always L7 and the items may or may not be there.

Could this be related in some way to the duplicate items problem in that the items are being put in ruins instead of the cities where I placed them?

Thats interesting.
Do you have any such game still going where the city in question is still Neutral?

If I open the map in the editor, I see L7 town hall and random walls.

I also checked the cities in the mapeditor. The citywall is set to "random".

Also checked the games that you are playing in, as far as I can see the Items have been spawn properly at gamestart.
If you have a missing item in a game and the city is still Neutral that would be very interesting to know, I could then go back and check the logs of the game when it was created.

Yeah I noticed I have the walls set to random after Experix mentioned it. It must be leftover from when I updated the map to 0.8 because I don't even recall changing the cities from 0.7 since they were already set for L7. Since it's such a pain to update a map (because you or Piranha still have to get involved) I'll hold off on fixing the walls till 0.9.

As far as the missing items goes, the 2 games I listed are still in progress and are missing items in those 4 cities even though they are still neutral. In the older game only SiriansVision is still neutral and it is missing the item. In the new game all 4 cities are still neutral and at least 1 (SatansPawn) is missing it's item (that's the only one I have seen so far). So are you saying you can see the items in that game??? Because when I look at them during my turn the items are *not* there in the lower right corner. It's been this way for several turns whether the city was unfogged during the turn or was already unfogged at the start of my turn. That would indicate it's a display problem (I use Firefox) rather than a map problem. I can take a screen shot if you need one but I would think if you started a test game with FOW on that you'd see the problem.
