What happened to that "Making old maps available"-thing

It would be a nice thing. I remember those old Illuria maps. Mighty fine, they were. But they're gone.

Ezras offered them all (Illuria, Hadesha) to anyone who wanted to take over them.

He didn't get any takers.

Ok, so maps are still available - but we don't know how to give me authority to update them. Anyone knows?

And what happened to all those other maps, that was supposed to become available?

I think you can load ezras maps and save them and edit them to release your version of the map.

I looked, and there they were, in the brand new "shared"-section! Nice work! Was fast!

But it looks like they are already submitted, so It doesn't look like they need my help - or do they However, from the start, I was thinking of what was said just prior to 0.9, that old maps that no longer were submitted would be become available. Do you, Piranha, or Snotling know what happened to that? Would be nice to update some of those maps, the community could need some more good ffa-maps.

One of the illuria maps, with a circle of powerful cities in the middle (no starting position there), 8 players, sea to the east, desert in SW, swamp in middle south, forest in middle west - anyone know which map I'm talking about? Haven't seen it for a long time, would very much like to play a game on it again!

As for Ezra's maps, some of them could use some minor balance tweaks. He simply said he no longer has the time to manage 7-8 maps which is why he offered them to anyone who wanted to be their caretaker for future updates.
