a way for getting rid of a city without loosing gold

i wish that loosing a city that has no one guarding it will not make me loose my gold

when team member exit i get his castles with no units on them so i loose my team member and my gold unjustly
when i claim a castle i forget to raze so i lose my gold unjustly

it also logically makes no sense of me putting gold in a castle that has no guards
