fog, no fog

I stumbled into several games without fog of war recently because it is a submenu in which you opt it. Since most games are with fow I didnt even think of it. Couldnt the options of a game be all visible in the page where you join a game?

I know I once made one myself, several people in that game said they wouldnt have played it if they knew. I made that game for map testing purposes, should I ever do it again I will clearly state 'no fog' in the game name. These games all had 'open' in the name, but in terms of fow that was unknown to me.

Now people come up with things like that would be more tactical. As far as I could see most in that game never played with scouting in all other games I met them. So I can understand that its more 'tactical'. But if I want to lay my feet on the table I dont play games. :P

Yes, it is, as I said above.

'Couldnt the options of a game be all visible in the page where you join a game', meaning NOT in another submenu.

And I can only repeat, noone ever looks that up because almost noone ever plays without fow. (and I doubt its fun for you if those quit who didnt expect fow, like me)

Yeah I joined games without fow by accident too so I will make it easier to see when a game is no fow in beta4.
