Another thought here. Have you ever wondered if you have enough movement points remaining when you move your unit(s) to a specific tile? Often times before battle you want to position your units on the ideal terrain. If you had the ability to click once on the tile you want your unit to go to first, then see how many movement points remained in any direction then you would know if had enough points to engage in battle from that position.
If any of you have ever played Laser Squad Nemesis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_Squad_Nemesis), which unfortunately appears to not be sold or online anymore, it had many if not all of the features I am suggestion. It too was a turn based, tile movement, strategy game. Once you experience these features in use it makes total sense why they were implemented. It allows for accuracy and removes frustrating errors. Sure, some of these suggestions reduce human error, but what's wrong with that?
