Here are my suggestions to amend the warpedia:
- Mention the 90% rule, if this still applies to the current version of the game.
- The current warpedia talks about each unit rolling its own die, and gives an example calculation that uses a single roll to determine a hit. That is ok, if there would be a single sentence explaining that the 2-die-reroll system is modelled by calculating the overall chances and using a single roll.
For example, how about:"Instead of actually using two dice and rerolling each time when both units hit or miss simultanesously, the system abbreviates each battle round by using math and a single die roll to determine who takes the next hit.
For those interested, the development of the formula for a single die-roll from the 2-dice-rerolling mechanism requires the convergence of the geometric series and leads to the formula
D*(1-A) / ( D*(1-A) + A*(1-D) )
where A and D is the strength of the Attacker/Defender respectively divided by the size of the die (usually 100). If a single die roll is smaller than the number computed with this formula, the attacker takes one damage, otherwise the defender looses a hitpoint. These values are shown upon pressing the info button in the battle screen.
