hero offers

Postby kenc80 » Wed Apr 06, 2011 3:49 pm

It seems to me that the formula for hero offers is not perfectl. I am in a game right now and I have built up a nice warchest of 20,000 cash. I keep getting hero offers of like 19,500 for a hero & 3 dragons. I should either be getting a hero with about 25 dragons for that price or it should be 3500 or so.

i think the formula for price needs some adjustment.

Kenc,

I reported this problem a while ago and Piranha promised to fix it in Beta4.

For now you are stuck in that you'll never be able to buy another hero without paying 19,000+ gold. So either you spend in on production (8 dragon cities seems about right saving 4K for emergencies) or do without heroes.

Well I have a fresh idea like a price of hero with allies are breakdown into 2. When you get a hero offer from the game. Your can either to buy solely a hero with an offering price and have an option to buy those allies. I found present allies offer is a wastage of gold and forcefully to purchase those useless allies which are there to rot.

I'd like revisit Horyu's suggestion.

In a current game in my last 8 turns my gold has ranged from 2000-5000 every turn. The following have been the offers I have gotten:

Hero + 2 Demons - 3000
Hero + 4 Ghosts - 3800
Hero + 3 Demons (3000 - which I invested in because they were next to a bless site)
No Offer (despite having 2000 gold)
Hero + 2 Ghosts (2200)
Hero + 1 Demon (2400)
Hero + 2 Demons (2800)
Hero + 3 Ghosts (3000)

So for 8 turns I have been forced to spend 2200+ gold to get a hero with allies I don't want. In other words I am shut out of heroes because of the ally cost if the allies aren't what I need/want. The hero offer screen should present 3 choices. Cancel, Hero Only (one cost), Hero + Allies (a second cost).

Also as you can see, I have been incredibly unlucky or the ally offer algorithm is incredibly biased because in those 8 turns I haven't gotten any of the allies I really want (Medusa, Dragon, Devil, Archon, Grand Archon). During that time I suspect my opponent has gotten some of those allies because I see them in his stacks. It's quite unfair that one person can get great offers while another gets stuff he doesn't want/can't use. In fact during the entire game I have only once gotten any ally with a bonus skill, despite it being turn 27 and me with 2000+ gold for well over 15 of those 27 turns. That kind of run of bad luck can decide a game. It would also be nice if there was a second option on the hero offer screen to pay gold to get another ally offer (guaranteed to be different allies than the current one). Say 100 gold regenerates the offer with different allies and cost. Do it a second time and it costs 200 gold, then 400, then 800 etc. So if you are desperate enough or rich enough you can eventually get what you need.

On the same topic of hero offers I would like to suggest the ability to look at your current Heros for that particular match before being required to accept the hero offer or not. If we are involved in a number of games it's easy to forget how many and what types of heros we have in the match.

Manukai,

You can not accept the offer, then check out your other heroes then accept the offer if you decide too.

How can I look at my other heroes before accepting the offer? The hero offer is a pop up screen and the only way I can find to review my heroes or go back to the game is by accepting or cancelling the offer. What am I missing?

Thanks

Choose to 'Cancel' the Hero offer.

Then, go examine your current Heros at your leisure.

Then, when you're ready to buy the Hero, click on the Hero icon -- the second to last button on the left side will be the Hero button. That's the button that's variable depending on if you're on a Temple, Dock, or are being offered a Hero.

Just be sure not to spend too much money before you go to buy the Hero.
