Premium features

I don't know, do other players like it, but as for me I would like to see as a credits-buy premium features - to see opponent's stats (armies, cities, golds). I would spend credits to buy it.

No premium features will be designed to provide a direct in-game advantage to one player over another.

I wouldn't want to gain an unfair advantage by buying features. I prefer to win/lose based on an even playing field. It also becomes a crutch that will prevent players from developing better skills.

Wow, guys, what an advantage? To see stats is advantage only deep in dreams. This is just for fun.
BTW in DLR all could see all stats, even all could see what neutral cities are conquered by opponents.
The last thing gives real advantage, but first thing is not. Interesting to compare stats.

I get a lot of free knowledge from the stats. Knowing how to read them provides some definite advantages.

For example I always look at the enemy city/army ratio. From that many times I know if my opponent overloaded one city (10 cities, 30 men, 10 in 1 city on my border) telling me that the rest of his cities are empty/have 1 defender so I should try and run a Wizard past/flying some Crows in etc. Or I can tell if my opponent is going broke by watching his gold decrease each turn from upkeep or if he can afford a hero, a hero with good allies or great allies etc. What kind of game style they are playing (few armies tends to mean more powerful ones, lots tends to mean lots of 1 turn fodder). This is just a sample of what can be done.

So I love being able to read the stats. But either it has to be open to everyone or no one.

Reading this, I don't insist any more. No bought advantage - is still my opinion.
As for me, I am too lazy to count stats, I just compare them for fun in melee games
Anyway, we need something to buy on credits. I see nothing to buy

I thought the army stat does not show the number of units, but the sum of unit levels, i.e. two scouts adding a value of two, and one heavy cavalry also adding a value of two,no ?

Chazar,

Nope it's just the sum of armies.

For now all it can be used for is if you go on a trip to prevent timing out in your games.

We have written down some ideas for gold features from the other forum thread that we plan to do but most of them will be for any gold member. One thing you suggested is the ability to bet credits in games which is on our todo. That could be fun.

I also thought about a credits ladder , not sure if people want to show that public.

I know many games have the ability to buy in game advantages but that works better in MMO games where there are so many other players that you can't dominate the entire game no matter how much you spend.
But any ideas are welcome, for us it's a chance to make a bit more from people who can and want to buy extra things.

One thing that I have thought about is along the lines of poker where you bet money, or buy in to tournaments where the winner get the credits and you can withdraw credits to cash. Of course this would be a big undertaking but and it would probably have to be something else than the current credits since we can't afford giving new players and winners of the ladder cash the way we do with credits. The question here is more if this could be something at some point to go after.
