I can live with the no cities if the 3 bless sites/1 ruin were separated by ridges making it like a maze so that you can't occupy all 4 in 1 turn. Right now the first player/team to the middle controls these (including a free L2 ruin) and never relinquishes them.

I'm not convinced that is a problem KGB. After playing several on this, I'm not so convinced the center is as important as I initially thought it was. I like it how it is (though perhaps the very center could be more symmetrical, with a temple of each type in mirror fashion.

Very nice map ChickenChaser!

Were you playing 1v1, 2v2 or FFA?

I haven't played this one in quite a while now. In the couple of games I played on it getting control of the middle sites was important. In addition to granting the bonus strength/move it also gives a nice +5 defense place that's immune to HL/Elephant attacks plus of course the only L2 / L3 ruin on the map. That also lets you get control of the +40 gold sites and potentially the 4 L1 ruins too.

I'm curious how your games on this went.

Regardless of all that I much prefer this Stratego version of the map to his other one.
