Saving issue

Postby SCIkick » Wed Nov 17, 2010 10:52 pm

As I said, I can't seem to save a map. I switched to Google Chrome and the same thing happens. The screen goes an opaque gray and freezes after I enter the Map name and description.

SCIkick,

How long are you waiting?

It typically takes 20 seconds before I get back the 'map saved' message. I've easily seen it take 40+ seconds when I assume the server is busy.

Yup, it does take a bit of time. Lots of long pauses have to be endured.

Hmm, I didnt realize it would take such time for you to save maps. Maybe I should add the same waiting animation etc that I have for Finalize.

SCIkick, any chance you have access to Firefox/firebug and can check the ajax calls?

It is sending almost as much info anyway, as it sends the terrainID for every coordinate on the map. But lets hope it will work :-)

Do you see any kind of javascript error when it dies?

Where in the world are you located?

Try to logoff and the back in again. I saw that your settings column was empty and that should be the problem, I have reset it but you need to logoff and in again.
