I'm finally playing a game on this map (turn 9 now so it's still early).

It badly needs some edits

1) Several cities are empty of defenders. This is because none of the default units fits the city designation (Good/Powerful etc).
2) The choice of units is WAY too limited. In my start spot I don't have access to any units that help with my terrain. So I am plodding along REALLY REALLY slowly especially given the units I do get are Pikemen which are slow at the best of times. Scouts at least should be possible in every city.
3) Along with #2 those units that can be purchased are often WAY too expensive for what you'll ever have money for. Jumping from 200 gold units to 1200 gold units is a jump that requires a LOT of gold from ruins/gold sites etc which just don't exist. Again, more unit choices will help a lot.
4) Why are there active cities? It's already hard to plod along with Pikemen, no bonus units and no decent upgrade unit choices. But then I run into active cities with Scorpions, Archons and Minotaurs in them. No chance at all to take those cities down when they have 3-4 defenders and all I can make are 1 turn units.

The map itself is interesting and looks very playable if it gets the changes I noted above.
