Ah yes, the Ural Mountains. I have invaded them many times. They are surprisingly small and flat, and largely populated by tiny plastic miniatures dressed in napoleonic uniforms.

I heared that Chinese created a film about Siberia forests. They filmed from opened window of train during half of hour or whole hour. And no people was in sight during filming. Film was showed in China and had greate success. Only nature and no people so long time.
Is it truth of joke, I am not sure. But it looks close to truth. Very wide territory with small population there.

Though, Eastern part of Russia gives good ice hockey players who plays now in Sweden and Finland on the championship.

Isn't russia almost always champion in hockey? Either russia or canada. Except for in youth hockey, where sweden beat you last time! It was a good game. Very exciting ending! But a russian friend didn't look at the whole game. He got too angry.

I vote sweden. Maybe with some luck we will win in grown up hockey too!

When Switzerland beat all in the group, I don't know what this will be in quaterfinals.
Possible that Russia and Sweden, Russia and Canada will not play each other.
All quaterfinals look interesting:
Russia - USA
Switzerland - Chech Republic
Finland - Slovakia
Canada - Sweden
USA probably will be stronger than in group matches. Same as Chechia.
1-st and 4-th quaterfinals will be most interesting, at my look.

Or not. They got destroyed 8-3 by the US in the quarterfinals.

The problem is that Russia hasn't produced many NHL caliber defencemen in the last 20 years. Plenty of forwards and enough goalies but almost no defencemen. It's the same reason they got destroyed in 2010 in Vancouver in the Quarterfinals by Canada.

Heah... defense is our old problem. Russia's strength is mostly in attack, we rarely win 1:0, 2:0 or 2:1. Mostly 7:3, 7:4, 5:2 etc. Too many goals are catched anyway. But so liked when our guys attack and score goals! That's I mostly like in this game. And good saves.
