Accepting friends

The mechanism for accepting friends seems to be coded very loosely. When Feanor requested me as a friend, I clicked on accept twice. He was only added once, but I then had 2 friends (even though it was just Feanor).

Perhaps more troubling, if I'm looking at another player's info, and he has been requested to be someone else's friend, I can click "accept" or "reject" for him and have an effect for myself (perhaps "remove friend" works for him too, I haven't been inclined to test it). I accepted a friend request Madbg had made to Tabanli and now Madbg is my friend. (You're welcome to remove him if you like, but he seems nice enough, so you can leave him as my friend too.)

It's not allowing me to accept a friend request, no matter how many times i press 'Accept'...

When I accepted a friend request, I got a 'news item' that said I was now friends with myself. I think the string is just backwards.
