I don't open teams tournament right now because of number of current games. May be in september or so.
Tournament with random teams will not let to compare results. Just for fun, like non-ladder games now are.
I'm waiting for piranha's work for opening a tournament between different countries (World Cup).

Third round of Grand Finaltournament is ended, and players for final rounds are defined.
Good to say than in the third round were all players who were invited with "wild card". This shows that the choise was right :-)
Art and Igor will play in the final round, the match of 3 games with maps used in all previous rounds.

We could go ahead and start the 2v2 tournament allowing multiple pairs from each team. We could just make the matches in which two pairs from the same team are playing each other non-ladder.

Could you help with speaking within teams to define who will take part.

I also keep in mind the wider format when teams if they are big enough play each match with all kind of team games: 4v4, 3v3 and 2v2, last kind may be 2 games per match.

Definitely, I will e-mail the teams that have been active the last 3 ladder seasons to get interest.

Email sent. Should we have round robin groups with each team playing one another or do a straight bracket style with 2 out of 3 (or just 1 match)?

What maps do we think should be used?

Michaquan, Four Lords, The Waste, Small World, High Seas Combat, Rivalry?

Number of participants will affect on choice of tournament system which then will affect on choice of maps.
Big or middle map, this depend on how many players will be (2v2, 3v3, 4v4)

What about 2v2v2v2 maps?

For example lets say there are 4 teams in your group. You can have a 2v2 game against the 3 other teams and 1 huge 2v2v2v2 game (worth 3 points to the winner, 2 to 2nd place, 1 to 3rd place) so you could earn up to 6 points.

The 2v2v2v2 games might get fuzzy when you have more than 1 pair from each team involved.
