SnotlinG,
Just took a look at the latest development blog.
Looks like the 2 new terrain types are Lava and Ice. Sweet. That now covers all but one DLR type (rock). Incidentally, in DLR, Lava was only passable by fliers and boats. With the caveat that boats took 8 moves per square on lava compared to 1 in water, 2 on shore. So I am curious to what you plan to do with Lava. I think it would be cool to use the DLR model so that you could create rivers of Lava (or moats of Lava) that required boats to cross over/go down though you might want to use 5 moves instead of 8.
I love the towers. Great graphics and they look really cool. Is the sight radius going to be just a pure number as in 6 squares or will be a number added to the best unit in the tower itself? I was hoping for the latter where it increased the view of the best unit in the tower so that a Dragon with it's 6 view in a tower might get extended to 10 if the base number was 4. It would really make them more useful for viewing.
Also I *love* that you now allow maps from 50x50 to 150x150. This will really help make smaller maps for 4 players and very large maps for 8 player games. The biggest DLR maps were 160x128 so 150x150 is on par with that. Two questions about this:
1) Will it be possible though to have a wider width than height so that you could make a 100Hx150W map that looked like a typical board game map?
2) Will there be a way to auto convert the existing 150x100 maps to a 150x150 map? Bullrun was always meant to be on the 160x128 map size so it suffers on top/bottom middle positions due to the current narrowness. I don't even care if you just put the entire map on the left side and leave the right most 50 squares as fields and let me space it out accordingly as that alone would save a ton of time.
