I watched the game played on this map and here is my review.

1) Forget Alaska. Alaska could be a small one city semi-island just like Hawaii. It is the worst starting position for winning the game. It is safe and secure but hard to progress.

2) I think this could be a good map for 6 player. Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles as starting points.

3)The Mississippi and Missouri river should have some swamp area so that West and East can be more balanced and land troops can pass though without the need of Snakes. Right now West is larger than East.

4)The starting positions are unbalanced but that can be worked on.
