Unfortunately this would break the game.
That's because it would be easy to then have virtually all your armies on the front lines and then vector back a hero/good stack to take care of any invasions because you can cover WAY more ground in 2-3 turns of vectoring than any invading army can travel (other than a rogue Wizard).
That doesn't even cover the case where you manage to conquer a city in the enemy area and immediately vector in dozens of units to the newly conquered castle.
This feature exists in DLR but was almost always turned off as a game option except in some real-time games.
The game is already 'gold poor' on so many maps. We don't need more ways to over power having gold luck in the ruins.
