Random City Production

Just started a new team game on Bullrun

After seeing a couple of neutrals my team has spotted Devils and Green Dragons in cities that were set as Random Production. I don't ever recall seeing these types of units before and I remember Snotling changing the Random Production early on in Beta4 to prevent hordes of Devils and Dragons from filling neutrals.

So either you've changed this back to allow such units to appear randomly or all the experimenting with the site has somehow undone that fix.

I think there is a confusion between "Normal City" and "Random City / Production".
Normal city is limited to max lvl3 units, while random city is totally randomized, i.e. up to lvl 4 units.

I think I for Beta5 will simplify it a bit and merge these 2 alternatives into 1 option only.

Snotling,

Actually I recall seeing settings of Poor/Normal/Good/Powerful and then there is Random.

I guessed:

poor was 1 1-turn unit < 400 gold
normal was 1-2 1or2 turn units >400 & < 600 gold
good was 1-4 1-2 turn units >600 & < 1000 gold
powerful was 1-4 1-3 turn units > 1000 gold

I don't recall leaving *any* cities in Bullrun as 'Random'. In fact I just looked and one city I saw a Green Dragon is in marked as 'poor' in the editor. The one I saw a Devil in is marked as 'powerful'.

So something is wrong when a poor city has a Green Dragon. If powerful allows Dragons/Devils/Archons then I'll go back in and change the settings to just good as I did not intend for those units to be in neutrals.

that sounds like a bug.
Whats the gamename/gameid, and whats the name of those neutral cities with incorrect production?

Snotling,

Game 4075 (named 4v4)

In the south central area, the city in the middle of the ridgeline, Irish Castle has an Lesser Archon (powerful production)
In the south central area, one of the cities in the swamp, Gardraks Gauntlet has a Green Dragon (powerful production)
On the middle right, one of the cities, Beedubs Rest has a Devil (powerful production).

It appears that Powerful Production is giving out Dragons, Devils and Lesser Archons in addition to other potential units (in another case it was only a Sandworm).

If Powerful is meant to give out Dragons/Devils/Archons I'll edit the map so that it only does Good.

Yes I think powerful definitely can give out dragons etc...

For beta5 I think I´ll make it a bit more structured, like:

random - removed
poor - only level 1 unit production
normal - randomized between level 1-3 (this will be the standard option)
good - level 3 production
powerful - level 4 production
