I strongly disagree. If half of your team is eliminated, you have to win without them. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is an expedient point of view, but it's not within the scope of a fair competition. You had an ally, and someone kicked his/her ***, or they quit. Either way you don't get to pick another ally. The team with 2 players on it deserves the advantage they've earned by eliminating the competition, and shouldn't be punished by having to suddenly face a new team.
You're effectively punishing successful players for eliminating others. Consider this: the best thing to do then is to always leave your opponents with 1 castle, or the remaining players will gain shared sight.
