Sometimes starting city can have a random unit production

Sometimes starting city can have a random unit production (even though unit is not bought), giving that player a huge advantage. As soon as a buying unit is chosen in that city, the unfair advanatage is gone.

Also the bug with multiple search of ruins is still around, giving totally unbalansed games (already reported).

This is 2 major bugs that needs to be fixed.

1. Are you sure it is not a scenariogame you have played, where the starting cities have production specified?

2. There was a ruinbug thats been fixed. Could be some games started before this was fixed that still have issues though, please let me know the gamename and I´ll have a look.

City with free production:

Could be that this is a new feature, but a strange one then. Neither map show any starting units, and city say it has no production, and still produce. And the games was ladder, not scenario.

Reproduced error in test gameid=9984 there I produce elementals for free.

had it in 2 other games, including ladder gameid=8867 (The Waste ver:5.0) vs ezras, pirahna and mulletman, but there I bought production as I thought it aone time bug. Then I got it again.

I checked your game and it looks a bit suspicious.
have you bought any prod and later on destroyed in that city? Or done any updates at all with that city?
It looks like your city is producing elementals even though it should not be possible.

Also, has it always been Elementals that you got for "free", or what units has it been so far?

The production was there when starting the game before I took any action, 2 other times I got the same error, it was both Heavy Cavalry. Opened city view immediately in test game and could there see city was producing as start of game. In the game ladder game I didn't look at city production immediately, and I was able to rout the HC to another city, but I never produced there any as I bought other production.

See also test game gameid=9985 there it happened again, and I have not bought any production there either, so I got it 2 times in a row now.

I finally found the bug, and it is fixed! It was connected to Active/CityStates functionality which collided a bit with the player startingcity functions...
