Are you sure about this? Just checked a battle with 4 demons and I won the battle losing 3 demons and the attacker vs defender hit chance were all the same. Which I could easily compare as luckily the opponent had a stack of almost all the same strength (krakens, archon and hero all 25).
Also, if this were true, the strength of 4 demons could and should by definition not be displayed as 70 70 70 70 but 70 60 50 40 in the battle screen since the second (third, fourth) demon would only come into action when the first (second, third) one already died hence could not give swarm bonus to the other ones anymore...
