Hi all, I am a bit new about this stuff but... why can't I create a game with this map against AI (or other players)?

By the way, lovely game :)

Welcome! The map looks like fun. Be aware that white has a significant advantage because they can reach cities better than other players. You may need to make adjustments for that, such as balancing the wealth and production or adding roads to help other players.

The problem is that the map editor is ahead of the game version. In a few days, version 0.8 will be released and all of the recently submitted maps will become available!

Well, thank you a lot!

About actual unbalance, do you think that putting white closest neutral city as "poor" will suffice? Real Italy is pretty tight in the middle so it would be uncorrect to move them further apart. Maybe I can move Rome a bit more in the south... and add few mountains to the north-west... or reduce starting gold so the player cannot buy dwarves at start!

I did not know that. I'll wait for it then :)

I am not an expert but isn't white's position amidst the "hunger" of three "neighbours" providing enough balance?
The suggestion to put more roads is like a two-sided knife: when white has conquered his cities, he will get faster to not yet developed neighbours. But again, he would need eyes on his back.
