The map lets to use all units you wish to play, and to have many big local fightings.
Easi terrain lets to move without any troubles. Just fight and fight again, that looks like basic of Warbarons.

By the way, I see Argammon never played on Battle Field map. May be to try 3 or 4 times to get good opinion? ;)

Igor, this is one of the most geographically boring maps anyone could ever imagine.

But it seems to be balanced, and it's certainly fun to use all kinds of units on fairly equal footing. It's also wealthy enough to use whatever stacks you want even with 4 players. I have a lot of fun with it.

I think Igor has hit on something here: the benefit of a geographically boring map is that terrain-based tactics are muted, bringing other tactics to the forefront. It's a very different kind of game, and for me it's an enjoyable change. It's also large and relatively wealthy. It's just what a map with this approach should be.

Crescendo is be the polar opposite: terrain-based tactics are highly accented there, even demanded from the player. Different maps should have different approaches, and we need all types. It's not like this is Igor's only map :D

This is 'easy geography' map. Main difficulty is how to win opponent and conquer all his cities. There is a quest in the center of the map, just enough to attack good defended central cities, ruins and temples.
Many maps have difficult combination of terrains. It is as interesting as long for land units, that is reason to use flying units mostly. Some such maps I played with my mostly liked flyers.

It is a wealthy map indeed, which tempts me to use the tactic of accepting hero requests with allies and then disbanding that hero to get another request.

Unicorns are a must to combat Cavalry and elephants are very handy as well...and, i would say Valks are utilized much more on this map than any other, now it's time to pair up a Barbarian with the Valk!

Forget the valk! Horse Lord on this map man! Up to +25 terrain morale bonus. If not here, then where? Illuria, I guess, but still...
