Other versions can be deleted. This is the final configuration for this game version.

This map is finally something really pleasing. There are many things to do, and many opportunities for player choices. Each possible path for each player has advantages and requires steep sacrifice in terms of opportunity cost. This should now be a very interesting map to play, with multiple start configurations and multiple strategies available to each player. Understanding, predicting, and countering your opponent's stratagem while employing your own effectively will be very challenging. The map was previously prone to stalemates (boring!). That should be a thing of the past.

The northern player has the long-term advantage. His city count is slightly higher, and he can rebuild some cities, even one to control the strength temple. However, the southern player has better mobility, units, and early defensibility.

I hope you can get some enjoyment out of the map. Please report any imbalances, complaints, or suggestions. This will be a punishing map to play on, so bring your A game. It's not at all well tailored to my own playing preferences, so we can learn together :-P

The Northern City appears to have a short-term advantage too by starting with 2 cities versus Southern's 1 :P

AHH! Spawnpoint deleted!

Actually, in ladder play, 2 cities represents 2 random spawns. You probably know that though. Fixing it now!
