I made a few changes since the last test map. Expanded production options in most cities, some additional income buildings in the plains area. I hope everyone enjoys the map.

Toughest part about this map by far is being one of the the snow players. All the other terrains either have 1 turn cheap terrain move bonus units (Orc, Elf) or can achieve 2 moves from a scout (Desert). The snow player must spend at 650 to get a 2 turn Yeti or struggle at 4 moves in the snow (3 with scout). Those 2 starting spots probably need an extra gold site (say 40 gold) nearby to compensate for that and to allow easier purchase of the much need Yeti.

Otherwise so far so good in the 2nd test game now that you separated the starting spots with ridge lines.

Center ruins is with two kinds of defense. Second one is lava, only hero or elemental can move over it. And first one is mountains, elemental can't move over it, only hero can. Only hero can reach central ruins, without any escort.

I made the center ruins is intentionally difficult. You can get up to 4 major artifacts. A great reward, but since only a powerful hero can get in you have to risk him. The two nearby temples can be used to power up your hero for the try(ragnarok for strength and lucifers helm for extra UL)

Just an idea I thought would be fun. The map is already much more playable and ready for some fun games, I just thought with all those water units available, a little more use for them at the same time speeding up access to the middle and providing something to contest over for the neighbors without ruins between... I don't know the direction you wanted to go with your map, just food for thought :mrgreen: .

Thanks, that does look pretty interesting. I will have to see how I can keep the swamp areas from having an advantage since they also can buy water units, but I think this might be a nice improvement. I'll play around with it and see if I can make it work.
