Awards for Ladder Placement

So, what all do you get for winning/ranking high when the ladder season comes to an end?

I was thinking of a way for high ranking achievements being displayed going forward, and I keep coming back to the custom emblem wishes. If individuals and teams could have their own emblem, they could get "medals" to add to their emblem (kind of like what Ohio State does with their stars on their football helmets, or more relevant, when soldiers add medals to their uniform).

It could be stars, rectangles, whatever shapes, and could have gold for first, silver for second, green for third, and blue for a top x finish (depending on if it's individual or team, say 4-10 for teams and 4-25 for individual).

The emblems could be displayed on the individual's or team's "page".

Anyways, just a thought to give more recognition to those investing so much time into getting to the top of the ladder boards. Any other ideas?

I believe you get free credits if you are the #1 player.

Last season credit awards were given for the first three players in each ladder, it ranged from 3000 credits for 1st place to 1000 credits fro third. Teams also got smaller awards given to all members, but I don't remember how much those were.

Credits are great, unless you have unlimited gold status

Why not have something that is more visible to the Warbarons community?

I think most players would enjoy having a trophy section on the profile page, just below your ladder stats. At some point in the future mini-tournaments with trophies could also be held giving players other trophy chances. These wouldn't need to be for credits, just bragging rights.
