Very-very wanted random map, new every time, as option for each new game.

Igor,

You mean a random map generator?

If so I second this and would like it very much as well. I offered a long time ago to port the random map generator from DLR and Warlords 4 to Warbarons in order to generate random maps.

Random maps would be especially good if you couldn't open the map, and wouldn't be able to see the parts you didn't explore. The uncertainty about what you faced would make the game much more exciting.

Best of random maps might be saved for regular using.

This would be awsome, also to make small maps against AI that would be also pretty exciting.

Any problem with rights here? It's one thing to borrow ideas as a starting base, quite another to take code. If it's public/released then that is different...

The original code is all C/C++. Warbarons is using JavaScript and other languages (not even sure what the back end server code is written in). So when I say port, it doesn't mean I am going to be using it directly. More that I'll be using it as a reference. On top of that I contributed a lot of the code to the War4 random map maker in order to create balanced maps/starting positions/ruins etc so that stuff is all mine anyway.

Random maps plus true black fog of war would be wonderful.

Only turns gray once you've explored that area at least once.
